DRIVE: Auto Fair 2019, returns for its third consecutive year from today to the 18th of August 2019 at the Setia City Convention Centre, Shah Alam.
Hosted by Malaysia’s leading automotive website, Carlist.my, this event is also endorsed by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii). Other participating brands include TRAPO, Pecca Leather, Superlon, Llumar Trading, Touch’n Go, Maxis, Monster Energy Drink, Smart Cruiser Electric Scooters and Osren Luminous Malaysia.
Similar to Art of Speed that was held last month in MAEPS, MARii will be taking this opportunity to promote its human capital development programmes such as Industry Led Professional Certificate (IPC). Other than that, MARii will be allowing visitors to experience the process and benefits of 3D printing, including computer-aided design (CAD) modelling. This time around, PROTON will be displaying parts and components that were manufactured using computer-aided engineering (CAE).

DRIVE: Auto Fair 2019 offers exclusive deals and promotions from over 30 car brands including Mazda, Subaru, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Honda, Toyota, BMW, MINI, PROTON and Perodua. For those looking to upgrade or purchase a new car, on-site loan application and approvals are available with Public Bank offering interest rates as low as 2.22%.
This years’ exhibition features the new Toyota Yaris, Mazda 3, the all-new Subaru Forester, BMW 330i and the Mini Countrymen Sports Edition. Visitors are able to test drive various cars from the participating brands. Car racing fans can also enjoy their sights to Aylezo Motorsports Ginetta G55 GT3 and Caterham SP300R.
In addition, this year will also feature professional drift show from Zen Low & Friends as well as Subaru’s Russ Swift Stunt Show. Not wanting the kids to miss out, Sony Pictures Malaysia is hosting an Angry Birds play area within the exhibition hall.
As in the previous years, the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) is giving out car inspection tips as well as road safety tips to visitors. A Road Transport Department (JPL) mobile counter is also available for those who would like to pay their summons or renew their drivers’ license.
Registered visitors will also stand a chance to win daily lucky draw prizes which include electronic gadgets and holiday packages worth more than RM30,000 from Carlist.my.
