Hari Raya is around the corner and many of you will be preparing for the long “balik kampung” journeys. To promote safety practices among motorists, numerous programs and campaigns are currently running this Ramadhan.

We have listed down some of the campaigns that are being held below:

1. Free Car Inspection – Shell/UMW Toyota Motor

Together with UMW Toyota Motor, Shell is making your vehicle safer for you to embark on your festive journeys. A 36-point free vehicle inspections will be offered to cars from all brands at 20 selected Shell stations nationwide.

Some of the components in the 36-point inspection procedure includes engine coolant, engine oil and brake fluid.

2. Free Car Inspection – Puspakom Sdn. Bhd.

Puspakom’s free voluntary vehicle inspection campaigns is being conducted at all their 54 branches. The Shah Alam and Pasir Gudang branches is reserved specifically for heavy vehicles.

The free inspection involves 25 tests on various vehicle parts and components not limited to tyres, suspension and smoke emissions. According to Puspakom, the inspection report can be used by the vehicle owner as a reference for their vehicle’s maintenance.

3. Petron Road Safety Campaign – Petron/Honda Malaysia/Michelin Malaysia/Bosch Automotive Aftermarket

Petron, supported by Honda Malaysia, Michelin Malaysia and Bosch Automotive Aftermarket is providing free car inspections at selected Petron service stations.

Continuing its collaboration with Honda Malaysia, Petron offers a 32-point vehicles inspection services at six service stations. Customers can also get their tyres checked by Michelin at 15 Petron service stations to ensure that the tyres are safe before embarking on a long journey.

4. Child Car Seat Safety Campaign – Perodua

Perodua is ramping up its child car seat safety campaign initiative to educate road users on the importance of using such devices, especially during this festive season in conjunction with Hari Raya.

Perodua will be offering its GearUp child car seats at promotional prices from May 13 to June 30. Two models are available, for infants and toddlers and both are Isofix compatible and meet ECE R44 safety standards.

5. #PemanduCekap Campaign – Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii)

MARii’s Pemandu Cekap campaign is aimed to highlight the importance of driving habits and vehicle ownership practices that promote energy efficiency, safety, environmental preservation in our daily mobility.

The concept of the campaign redefines the meaning of a Skilled Driver (Pemandu Cekap) – which traditionally refers to skilled driving – to a driver that is knowledgeable and skilled in the command of driving and energy efficiency aspects mentioned above.

The Pemandu Cekap campaign kicked-off with a series of content developed specially for the upcoming Hari Raya season, as millions of Malaysians travel to their hometowns during the festive season.
