Malaysia Autoshow 2019 Visitor’s Contest Winners Announced

The four out of five grand prizes winners of the Malaysia Autoshow 2019 Visitor’s Contest were announced today in a prize giving ceremony held at Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) headquarters in Cyberjaya.

Chan Chui Yen won the Perodua Myvi as the Visitor’s Contest Grand Prize and Bon Kok Wei won the second grand prize, a Perodua Bezza. Both prizes were presented by MARii CEO, Dato’ Madani Sahari and Borhan Din, Senior General Manager of Corporate Planning from Perodua.

The third grand prize, Vespa was presented by Farouk Faisal, Chief Operating Officer of Naza Premira Sdn Bhd alongside with Dato’ Madani to Lee Yhing Huey while Mohd Zahid Mohd Nor was chosen to win the Ninebot Segway Drift W1.

The winner of the fifth prize, which is the “Buy a car, win a car” contest, will be announced in the next few months.

“It is still unbelievable that I won this brand new car because I did not expect to be chosen. Plus, that was my first time joining the Autoshow recently,” said Chan Chui Yen.

The winner for second Grand Prize, Bon Kok Wei also felt excited to be part of the Autoshow and got the good experience of seeing auto modified cars.

Lee Yhing Huey shared with us that it was an eye-opening experience to see the drifting as one of the outdoor activities at the Malaysia Autoshow.

We also got to speak with the winner for Ninebot, Mohd Zahid Mohd Nor on his expectation for the next year Autoshow.

“Hopefully for the next Autoshow, all car manufacturers will be able to bring their own concept of cars to the exhibition and we get to see the process of car modification in a real practice.”

The winners were chosen among the visitors who attended the Malaysia Autoshow 2019, launched by Prime Minister, YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, held from 11th to 14th April 2019 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).

This year’s Autoshow themed “Mobility for All” has successfully attracted around 420,000 visitors experiencing the journey in three exciting halls brought by MARii.
