Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) launched Kidnovate programme at MARii Berambeh held in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebration this year, to expand their reach to the younger markets.
Kidnovate is a hands-on programme developed to equip young Malaysians to adapt, embrace and enhance their minds and skills in new technology in line with the fourth industrial revolution.
Under the programme, children as young as 9 years can indulge in various interactive, hands-on activities and coaching programmes in 3D design and coding applications, including virtual and augmented reality, animation, 3D modelling, 3D printing, robotics and the Internet of Things.
The programme will be housed in MARii’s Academy of Technology in Bukit Beruntung, Selangor. However, the programme is designed to be highly portable, allowing it to reach all corners of the country if needed.
“STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) workshops have emerged as a common tool to inculcate technology-based learning into the child and youth pedagogy. Kidnovate is one of MARii’s programmes that allow children to be exposed to Industry 4.0 applications from a young age”, explained Dato’ Madani Sahari, MARii CEO.
