Pemandu Cekap campaign soft launching in conjunction with Aidilfitri 2019

MARii Pemandu Cekap awareness campaign was soft launched during the Prize Giving Ceremony of Malaysia Autoshow 2019 Visitor’s Contest, held at Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) headquarters, Cyberjaya today.

It was officiated by MARii CEO Dato’ Madani Sahari, together with the management representatives of Perodua, Vespa, and Ninebot.

Pemandu Cekap is an awareness campaign for motorists and road users, focusing on the importance of driving habits and vehicle ownership practices that promote energy efficiency, safety, environmental preservation in our daily mobility.

The concept of the campaign redefines the meaning of a Skilled Driver (Pemandu Cekap) – which traditionally refers to skilled driving – to a driver that is knowledgeable and skilled in the command of driving and energy efficiency aspects mentioned above.

It is simply to encourage the public to take into consideration of every intricate details that related to right practices on the road and pursue it for the common good.

MARii CEO, Dato Madani Sahari explained that as the automotive industry advances to bring new technology to the market, it is important that motorists are aware of new options available to them, and are able to utilize them in their daily driving.

“In MARii, we share the same aspiration for Malaysians to be part of the market that drives the automotive sector. By having this campaign launched, they can contribute to the industry through their understanding of proper driving and the appropriate use of features that promote safe and energy efficient transportation”, he added.

“We hope that this campaign can give impact to the society and environment as we encourage them to apply eco-friendly drive along the journey to the destination.”

The Pemandu Cekap soft launch will begin with a series of content developed specially for the upcoming Hari Raya season, as millions of Malaysians travel to their hometowns during the festive season.
