The Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), Malaysia Robotics and Automation Society (MyRAS) and One International Group will be organising the Malaysia International Robotics & Automation Technology Exhibition & Conference (Robotex), a first of its kind in Malaysia.
The conference will be held at the Setia City Convention Centre from 31st July to 2nd August, and is endorsed by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS).
Dato’ Madani Sahari, CEO MARii and Mr. Roger Lim, Managing Director, One International Group were present during the soft launch, held today in MARii, Cyberjaya.
The conference aims to gather market players and nationwide visitors under one roof to share and exchange ideas about fast-growing technology trends that can make businesses thrive by delivering insights and understanding of business opportunities that will be available in the near future through the adoption of robotics and automation-related technologies and services.
“Robotics and automation has the ability to transform the way businesses, including enhancing small and medium enterprises (SMEs). They form important enablers in Industry 4.0 compliance to optimise business processes, increase productivity and overall business performance”, said Dato’ Madani.
“Robotex is an important platform to develop awareness on the adoption of robotics and automation, and that its implementation is accessible to all levels of businesses, even small businesses”, he added.
The conference will allow participants to explore emerging robotics technology in various areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), 3D printing and Internet of Things (IoT) and their applications in a plethora of industries towards future proofing of the Malaysian economy.
“Industry stakeholders can obtain valuable insights on how to optimize the technology for their business operations and to learn about the essentials of Industry 4.0.”, said Roger Lim.
Robotics and automation is considered a significant element in technology evolution. Hence, Robotex aims to expand the market’s knowledge horizon by gathering industry experts from Malaysia and other countries such as South Korea and the United States, transferring new ideas and knowledge on the adoption of robotics and automation in the Malaysian companies.
