Computer Aided Engineering (CAE)
Computer-aided engineering (CAE) empowers manufacturers with the capability to use computer software to simulate and validate the performance of their product designs. While it does not do away with the traditional process of needing to build a physical prototype, advancements in CAE have allowed today’s manufacturers to benefit significantly in terms of reducing the cost and time taken to bring a product to life and into the market.
In the fight against COVID-19, the Institute launched a product it calls the MARii Tracker which is a device that offers a complete solution for contact tracing, social distancing compliance, location tracking, supply chain information, and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs),

The National Policy on Industry 4.0 is underlined in INDUSTRY4WRD (Industry Forward), a proactive initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to transform and empower Malaysia’s manufacturing sector into becoming more dynamic, technologically advanced and forward thinking in order to capitalize on opportunities of the future.
